11:52 p.m.: It's all over in Morgantown with LSU surviving a test in the second half when West Virginia pulled with in six. The Tigers responded with three touchdowns to earn a 47-21 victory. One concern coming out of this game will be the success the Mountaineers had throwing the ball. But for now, it is a big win for Les Miles.

11:42 p.m.: Missouri closes within 10 with a window-dressing touchdown by James Franklin with 32 seconds left. Oklahoma has the ball after the kickoff will close the book on a 38-28 victory.

11:38 p.m.: Alfred Blue puts a cap on LSU's victory. The sophomore scores on an 18-yard run against a demoralized West Virginia defense and the Tigers lead 47-21 with 3:30 left. The third big win of the season away from home should give some push for the LSU being No. 1. We'll see when the poll comes out tomorrow.

11:31 p.m.: West Virginia's last gasp may have been extinguished. Geno Smith fumbles and LSU's Lavar Edwards recovers at the Tigers 45 with eight minutes left. LSU will not go to work on the clock with a 40-21 advantage.

11:13 p.m.: West Virginia reaches the LSU 43 and goes for it on fourth-and-4. Geno Smith throws incomplete and the Tigers take over with 14:12 left and a 34-21 lead. They'll try to get some first downs and milk the clock.

11:08 p.m.: Headed to the fourth quarter in Morgantown with LSU ahead 34-21. West Virginia back on the move. In Norman, Oklahoma has the ball with 11 minutes left and a 31-14 lead. After the first two drives, the Sooners have shut down the Tigers offense and should improve to 3-0.

11:05 p.m.: And now LSU has responded. After West Virginia pulled within six, Morris Claiborne returns the kickoff 99 yards for score after shaking of a Mountaineers tackler near midfield. Tigers now have some breathing room at 34-21 late in the third quarter.

11 p.m.: Look out. We have a ball game in Morgantown. West Virginia is starting to solve the LSU defense with its passing game. Dustin Garrison finds the end zone on a 1-yard run to cap a 92-yard drive. 10:51 p.m.: Grant Ressel misses his second field goal of the game, and Oklahoma's lead stays at 31-14. Need points in that situation when you are trying to upset the No. 1 team in the country. Still just more than three minutes left in the third quarter.

10:47 p.m.: West Virginia has crossed into LSU territory on a huge possession in this game. Mountaineers must avoid a mistake and get points on the board with the score 27-14 and under six minutes left in the third quarter.

9:59 p.m.: West Virginia is unable to find points in the final minutes, and LSU takes a 27-7 advantage to the locker room. Three Mountaineers turnovers have been costly, including one in the final minute that led to the last of four touchdowns by the Tigers. Big hill to climb for WVU in the last 30 minutes.

9:57 p.m.: Missouri had a chance to pull within seven of Oklahoma, but Grant Ressel misses a field goal in the final minute. 8:50 p.m.: LSU converts a West Virginia turnover into six points. Michael Ford rumbles 22 yards for a touchdown. The extra point was no good so the Tigers lead is now just 13-0. Mountaineers have had some success on offense, but two turnovers have hurt them early.

8:47 p.m.: This is not the same Oklahoma defense we saw at Florida State. James Franklin just hit a wide open L'Damian Washington in the middle of the secondary for a 45-yard touchdown. Six minutes left in the first quarter and Missouri leads 14-0.

7:48 p.m.: While Florida is now cruising up 21-0 at Kentucky, it is still a struggle for South Carolina. Stephen Garcia threw his third interception of the first half, and Vanderbilt leads 3-0.

7:42 p.m.: Nearing the end of the first quarter and Vanderbilt clings to a 3-0 lead on South Carolina. It's the second consecutive slow start for the Gamecocks, who need quarterback Stephen Garcia to pick things up quickly.

7:38 p.m.: Florida is off to a fast start during its first road game of the season. Jeff Demps just scored on a 20-yard run and the Gators lead Kentucky 14-0 in the first quarter.

7:25 p.m.: Oklahoma State takes a safety on the game's final play to make the final score 30-29 for an unlikely win against Texas A&M. 7:17 p.m.: Texas A&M's potential winning drive ends on its second play when Ryan Tannehill is intercepted by James Thomas. That's the fourth turnover in the second half for the Aggies, who likely will lose to Oklahoma State 30-27 after leading 20-3 at halftime.

7:15 p.m.: And the Aggies get their stop. Oklahoma State misses on a third-down pass, forcing the Cowboys to punt. Texas A&M takes over on its 34 with 1:47 left and still one timeout remaining. Just need a field goal, so plenty of time.

7:09 p.m.: Is it too little, too late for Texas A&M? Jeff Fuller catches a 4-yard touchdown pass with 2:20 left to pull the Aggies within 30-27 of Oklahoma State. They have three timeouts left so they can kick deep or go onside kick.

7:05 p.m.: Texas A&M is moving the ball, but Oklahoma State is making them use the clock. Cowboys are up 30-20 with 3:29 left. Aggies need a quick score and then either an onside kick or a three-and-out.

6:45 p.m.: Alabama runs out the clock on Arkansas and closes the book on an impressive 38-14. The defense stifled the Razorbacks and scored a touchdown, while special teams provided another two scores. Tide certainly didn't do anything to hurt their ranking.

6:40 p.m.: Wisconsin has completed its non-conference schedule with a 59-10 defeat of South Dakota. The schedule will start to get a lot tougher once the No. 7 Badgers start Big Ten play.

6:36 p.m.: The good news for Texas A&M: It didn't turn the ball over. The bad news: The Aggies punted back to Oklahoma State, which will start on its 20 with a 27-20 lead and 11:33 left in the game.

6:19 p.m.: A huge mistake by Justin Blackmon has given some life to Texas A&M. Blackmon was on his way to the end zone for his third touchdown of the third quarter when he was looking to celebrate before the goal line. 5:10 p.m.: Oklahoma State's final possession of the half ends appropriately with a sack. Texas A&M's defense has been having its way with the Cowboys, and the Aggies lead 20-3 in a game that isn't as close as the score.

5:06 p.m.: It's also halftime in Clemson with the Tigers ahead of Florida State 21-10. Tajh Boyd was successfully against the Seminoles secondary early finding both Sammy Watkins and Dwayne Allen for scores.

5:03 p.m.: The first 30 minutes are in the books in Tuscaloosa. Alabama has touchdowns off a fake field goal and an interception return to lead Arkansas 17-7. The Razorbacks have not been able to run the ball against the Tide, and that is slowing down its offense.
