Stateline Football Fans React to Bears vs Packers Game

It's a rivalry that's as old as the NFL.

"Bret Favre was a good guy, but the Packer Fans, forget them," said Bears fan Ray Matlock.

"They may not be winners, but they can have the thoughts that they want to have," said Packers fan Jerrica Clinkenbeard.

The Chicago Bears hosted the Green Bay Packers this Sunday, a home game they just couldn't get under control.

"Oh man, it's gonna be a tough day at work tomorrow," said Matlock.

But it was one Packer fans just knew was going end well.

"They're winners, they won the Superbowl last year," said Clinkenbeard.

Second Cousins on Riverside was packed for the game, and both Bears and Packers fans kept workers busy, which meant big business for this local bar.

"It's really busy actually, and it's a lot of fun to see all the fans, like Packers versus Bears, especially today," said Second Cousins waitress Maja Bilich.

The rivalry between these two teams is still extremely intense, but one thing that's different from last year is that a lot of Bears fans seem to have already given up.

"They have a lot to work on, it'll be a few years before they get back into it," said Bears fan Jeff Brown.

But not all agree.

"It's a long season, it's a long season, they'll be alright," said Matlock.

While Bears fans were left empty handed, Packers fans seemed to be quite content.

"Bears fans, some of them are nice, like the one next to me, but most of them are rowdy and obnoxious," said Packers fan Richard Freeman.
